Interpretation training courses can be divided into three categories: 1. MA level professional interpretation training courses, with conference interpretation as the training objective 2. Undergraduate level mandatory interpretation training courses in undergraduate departments of translation and interpretation, with interpretation within corporations as the training objective 3. Undergraduate level elective interpretation training courses in undergraduate foreign language departments, with the focus on foreign language teaching, supplemented by interpretation training courses. The author describes personal experiences, drawn conclusions and suggestions regarding topics such as the principles and methodology of course planning, classroom material designs, teaching contents, the purpose of the courses, and evaluations, for the aforementioned three categories of interpretation training courses. The first half of the book focuses on foreign language training, while the second half addresses professional interpretation. The observations and analyses in the book progress from the basic to the advanced.
